Volume

A volume question in GCSE is usually an area X a length.

If the units of length are in cm then the volume is in CM^3 (cubed)

You need to remember the area formula's of Rectangles, Triangles and Circles to work out the areas of regular prisms.

Volume of prism=cross sectional area X length (this formula is usually given)

Rectangles area X length will give a cuboid

Triangular area X length will look like a Toblerone

Circular area X length will look like a round bar (called a cylinder)
